Sony Has Made an Announcement about its New Project Morpheus Tending to Compete in VR Market

This world is going to be turned in quite a Virtual Reality environment. We dare to say that there will come a time when meeting people with headsets on their faces will be common and normal.
Sony made an announcement at the game development conference about displaying the latest prototype of its virtual reality headset the Project Morpheus and announced that this device will release in the commercial market in early 2016.

The latest prototype of Project Morpheus has a 5.7 inch OLED display with a resolution of 1920 X RGB X 1080 pixel, 100 degree field of view and a refresh rate of 120 frames per second. The company says that the project Morpheus is compatible with playstation 4, which is meant to play games at 120 frames per second. Sony strongly believes that this rate is what they need and it is perfect for virtual reality.
Project Morpheus tracks its environment in 360 degrees with 9 LEDs. The headset glasses can be flipped up to jump out from a virtual world into a real one. The pricing hasn’t been mentioned yet.

It is an open secret that Project Morpheus will soon face tough competition in VR headset market.
